This annual event is designed to celebrate female survivors of domestic violence who reside in upstate South Carolina. The women will be pampered and showered with love in the “love” month of February (beginning 2019). S.M.O.O.O.T.H, Inc. will use social media to ask women to submit a short essay of their experiences with domestic abuse. Criteria for judging the essays will be developed by members of the organization and submissions will be kept confidential. 10 finalists will have their hair, nails, and make-up done at a partner salon, followed by a photoshoot. In the evening, we will host a catered dinner that will include motivational speakers at the Little John Community Center in Clemson, SC.

Throughout the year, we host events to assist domestic violence survivors and their families as they transition into their new lives and also to empower and inspire them to feel good about themselves from the outside in. Many women and families face financial difficulty when they are relocating to new homes, school districts, jobs and more. S.M.O.O.O.T.H. Family Transition's mission is to assist survivors and their children with grocery shopping, back to school supplies, clothing, home goods, and other necessary items for every day living so they can comfortably reenter the job force, provide adequate food and shelter for their children and more.
